Rizowan Ahmed

Short Biography:

Rizowan Ahmed is a Lecturer of Law at World University of Bangladesh (WUB). He completed his LL.B ( Hons.) & LL.M Specialized in International Commercial Law from North South University (NSU). Mr. Ahmed has a great experience of research. He was a teaching assistant & research assistant at the Department of Law, North South University. He was also awarded fellowship from Bandhu in collaboration with USAID for RGDP Project. Mr. Ahmed was also worked as a research assistant of CTRG Research Project funded by North South University. During his undergrad he had also worked as a research assistant of his faculties.  He has written dozen of articles or op-eds on different legal issues in the leading national dailies such as Daily Observer, Daily Sun & Dhaka Tribune.   

Mr. Ahmed was also involved in other activities . He served as a Vice President of Academic at North South University Law & Mooting Society (NSULMS). Also, he was the  Researcher of team NSU which secured the position of semi finalist in a national moot court competition named TIB – Anti Corruption Moot Court Competition  organized by Transparency International Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed had also taken practical experience of legal work for a short period. Prior to join WUB he worked in a corporate law firm named Sattar & Co. 

He teaches  Mercantile Law, Labour Law, Intellectual Property Law & Comparative Constitutional Laws. Apart from these, his interest of research in the areas of International Trade Law, International Environment Law & Stock Market Laws.
