Short Bio:

Dr. Mohiuddin Md. Al-Amin

Dr. Mohiuddin Md. Al-Amin is an Assistant Professor (Grade-I) & Head/Chairman of the Department of Law at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) and Former Chairman (Head of Law) of the Department of Law at the Northern University Bangladesh (NUB). Dr. Mohiuddin has also enrolled himself as an Advocate under the Bangladesh Bar Council as well as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Dr. Mohiuddin is also a Member of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association as well as a Member of the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC).

Dr. Mohiuddin received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in International Investment Law under the Supervision of Professor Dr. Prabhash Ranjan from the Faculty of Legal Studies, South Asian University, popularly known as SAARC UNIVERSITY, New Delhi, India. It is happy to share that Dr. Mohiuddin is the First PhD Awardee from the Faculty of Legal Studies (FLS), SAARC University, among the SAARC Eight countries students. Dr. Mohiuddin also secured the First position (Combined) in his MPhil Thesis. Dr. Mohiuddin was an Indian Government SAARC Silver Jubilee (Scholarship) Scholar. Dr. Mohiuddin received his Post Graduate Diploma in International Law and Diplomacy (PGDL) from The Indian Society of International Law (ISIL), New Delhi, India where he secured 1^st class. Dr. Mohiuddin received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Honours and Master of Laws (LLM) from Bangladesh with outstanding results. Dr. Mohiuddin attended the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Summer Course on Intellectual Property Law (SIPL) with a WIPO Scholarship at The International Intellectual Property Training Institute (IIPTI) of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), Daejeon, Republic of Korea.

Dr. Mohiuddin worked as an Associate (Legal) under the Senior Advocate Barrister Ajmalul Hossain KC (King’s Counsel) of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and also worked as a Senior Associate (Legal) under the Senior Advocate Alhajj Mohammad Israfil, Ex-President, Dhaka Bar Association, of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. 

Dr. Mohiuddin has published books on “Company Law & Partnership” “Advocateship Enrollment”, “ A textbook on the Public Demands Recovery”, A textbook on Registration”, and A textbook on “The General Clauses Act”. Dr. Mohiuddin has also published several peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals as well as attended National and International conferences. The author has also attended many law workshops as a “Legal Expert & Speaker”. Dr. Mohiuddin keeps himself updated by attending International and National conferences/seminars and training courses to constantly be with international standards.
