Short Biography:

Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil is the Head at the Department of Law and Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities of World University of Bangladesh (WUB). He earned LL.B. Honours, LL.M. and Ph.D. in law from three prominent government universities in Malaysia. He did his Ph.D. from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2003. He taught 10 years in two prominent universities in Malaysia: (1) Multimedia University Malaysia (MMU) and (2) International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He also taught in two renowned universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE): (1) Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) and (2) Al-Ghurair University. His total teaching experience is 22 years. His fields of research are cyber law, commercial law, human rights law, sustainable development and law etc. He is a member in the Dhaka Bar Association and Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association. He has published 47 articles in prominent national and international journals and 4 books. He received a bronze medal for participating in a Poster Exhibition in IIUM, Malaysia in 2010 on ‘Sustainable development and law in Malaysia: A case study on household waste management’.

He attended many international conferences and presented scholarly research papers in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom (UK), Check Republic, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia etc. and visited some other countries. He is an editorial board member of Journal of Asian and African Social Science and Humanities (JAASSH) and article reviewer of International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Development Studies (IJEDS) and Kustia Islamic University Law Journal. He is a Ph.D. thesis external reviewer at Faculty of Legal Studies of South Asian University, India.
